Call of Duty has a real naming issue, doesn’t it? Unlike Fortnite, you have to clarify exactly which Call of Duty you’re referring to whenever you talk about a new happening. It gets even more complicated when you’re talking about two of them, which we are in this case.
But we digress. The fact is, Activision has just dropped a launch trailer for Season 2 of the content drop that will affect both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. It will feature new maps, the return of Gun Game, and a variety of new guns, operators, modes, and more.
Let’s start by watching the trailer together. You can bring the popcorn.
What’s New in Call of Duty Season 2?
Let’s take a look at the new content at a glance in case you can’t be bothered to read:
- New Maps:
- Bounty
- Dealership
- Lifeline
- Bullet
- Grind
- Gun Game
- Weapons
- Operators
- Modes
New Maps
The big news is the new maps. We get three right away, Bounty, Lifeline, and Dealership, and Bullet and Grind will arrive at a later point.
You can get a taste of what these maps look like in-game by watching the trailer. Several of them look very familiar indeed.
Zombies Content
The trailer also showcases new zombies content, but it’s very light on details. It might just be that you can play on the new maps.
New Weapons
The trailer showcases the katana melee weapon an absolute ton of times, so we’d be very surprised if that doesn’t make an appearance in both its default and dual-wield form.
There are also a ton of finishers – presumably we get a few new ones there.
New Operators
None of these are named but we do get a look at a fair few characters in the trailer so, presumably, one or two of them are new operators that you can play as.
What did you spot? Anything in particular you’re excited about?
