The Fortnite leakers are back at it again, mining that data to see what could arrive next in the Item Shop. This time around, it points towards two possible collaborations.
The first is a, quite frankly hilarious, crossover with King Kong. In fact, the leak showcases a full King Kong skin, and it looks suitably ridiculous.
What is that going to look like when players are rushing around the map trying to kill each other? Also, what’s the deal with the gauntlet? So many unanswered questions.
Could Fortnite Crossover With Kaiju No. 8?
Meanwhile, iFireMonkey is teasing a crossover with Kaiju No. 8, and it all looks more suitable for Fortnite. With this one, except cel shading to make a return. It’s anime, after all.
We get a first glimpse at a new pickaxe, which follows the colour scheme of the title character. It’s got dark a dark shaft, with a boney-like wrap, and lightning encasing the pick itself.
The pickaxe is codenamed ‘Sure Bamboo’ internally, and you can see a helpful side-by-side image of it with the title character from Kaiju No. 8 in the leaker’s tweet.
What Do They Have in Common?
Well, they’re both gigantic monsters, for one, so it could point to a gigantic crossover event with similar properties. Wait, isn’t one announced already?
Yes, indeed. If you scroll through the main Battle Pass, you can see a Godzilla event is arriving later this week, on January 15.
The rumours suggest a gigantic Godzilla will invade the Battle Royale map, suggesting that all players will have to fight the monstrosity off.
